What weather we were having for a full week! Just a shame it came to an abrupt end on the morning of this family session in Princes Street Gardens, where the chill in the air was unmistakable. It was freeeezing and I was glad of my jacket. However, you can't really tell from these pictures, right?
This wee family of four were visiting from England, bringing with them a sense of excitement as they explored and enjoyed their time in the gardens, even if the temperatures were less than ideal. Mum and dad had a special connection to this city, having tied the knot at Surgeon's Hall, a historic venue that holds cherished memories for them. I believe this was the first time they had brought the kids to see where that happy day unfolded.
Adding to the significance of the day, the photo session was also a surprise celebration for dad's 40th birthday which he was over the moon about. A particularly funny moment - the girls totally cringing when they saw mum and dad share a smooch behind them. Their reactions were priceless, filled with a mix of embarrassment and amusement, and I LOVED capturing those genuine expressions. Giggle giggle.
